September Tide – June 2017
Stella, a widow of considerable gifts and beauty, lives in her Cornish cottage overlooking the sea. She leads a comfortable, but uneventful, life despite regularly rejecting proposals of marriage from her neighbour, Robert.
Her recently married bohemian daughter, Cherry, and her successful, unconventional artist husband, burst into this idyll and their lives are thrown into turmoil. The tides of emotion that are unleashed threaten to destroy the family. Maybe she will follow her heart and the promise of a different life – maybe she won’t.
Daphne du Maurier at her best.
