Jez Butterworth’s wonderful, rollicking dark comedy took London and Broadway by storm.
It is May Day and a motley assortment of friends gather in a wood in rural Wessex lured by the possibility of free booze and drugs. This is where charismatic Johnny “Rooster” Byron lives, in a mobile home from which he is about to be evicted. He is a waster and modern day Pied Piper who was once a famous motor cycle stunt rider, Magic and mayhem ensue.  it is comic, bawdy, and outrageous and by the end you almost believe in the mystical power of giants.
